Where It All Began, Chapter 2- Friends

Silverstep opens one eye and looks around her den. All she could hear was the krickets chirping they're song. She then silently got up and walked to the edge of her cave and peeked her head out to see which guardian wolfs were on duty 'Easy, easy and... O h great, its always Blackshadow!' She thinks, then sighs and hugs the outside of her cave and jumps to the nearest tree branch.

Silverstep rolled her eyes as she spotted the first two guards sleeping on one another. " I know which two wolfs are getting exiled from their duties." She whispers silently then continues to jump each tree, swiftly, but silently.

"Silverstep, you know I can smell right?" She hears Blackshadow say. She then sighs in annoyance and hops down from the tree landing in front of him. " I was just going out to hunt, you know so Icebird might finally make me one of you or a hunter or maybe even a skybird, like my mother." She lies.

"Your mother was a great Skybird, she was and amazing wolf in general. She was the best sister a wolf could ever have, if she wouldn't have killed those Artic foxes this element would be destroyed." He says, tears forming in his eyes, they then cleared quickly. " Go ahead, but if Icebird finds out, you didn't see me." He says with a smile.

Silverstep nods then quickly jumps back into the trees and speeds up her pace. she then  see's Shadowstep then quietly gets into a hunters crouch and pounces on him from the tree. "Ah!" He yells in surprise. "Ha ha, gotcha!" She laughs. "Oh yah?" He  says then slips underneath her weight and jumps onto her back with his front right paw on her head. "Now I'VE got YOU."He jokes. " Not for long." She says then quickly slipps out from his paws and jumps from tree to tree almost invisible she quickly paws at him quickly still not visible. She then finally makes herself visible and smiles. " Do I win?" She asks with a smirk. "Seeing that i'm freezing my fur off, yes." He jokes. "You know you might have a talent in fighting." He adds.

"Yeah, i'm ok, that was just a basic Ice element move, speaking of carrers, how is that healer job working out for you?" She asks casually."Eh, its ok, i'm not really trying to become a healer, I want to be a guardian wolf, its like your protecting your whole element, and they look up to you , I mean its pretty much like being leader, minus the goin to the element stone and getting the powers of all elements." He explains. " I would want to be a skybird, like my mother. Just jumping from tree to tree with that breeze in your fur, protecting your element from above." She says with a smile imagining her as a skybird, following in her mothers pawsteps.

"Anyways, I've gotta go, my teacher told Dartfang we would go out on a hunting patrol early." He tells her. "WEll we'll be able to talk  at the element get together. next week." She says."Yeah, i'm glad I actually somebody to talk to before my first." He says then he gets closer, letting their fur touch. "Yeah." She answers simply."I'm glad I got a friend to talk to while the leaders ramble about what the news is about other elements. He continues. " Friends?" She says surprised." Uh, yeah, we are friends right?" He asks. " Y-yeah, friends, I like it." She says with a smile. He then quickly gets up and goes onto his side of the border. "Well I better get going, bye." He says. " Bye." She answers then walks back to camp, but stops to hunt first.

'Friends, I like it, a friend from another element.' She thinks happily.
